"These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children.

Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gate."

Deuteronomy 6:6-9

High School Academics

Each King's Academy high school student is required to take one Bible class each semester he attends King's. Transfer students are not required to make up Bible credits, but are expected to complete one credit in Bible for each semester he attends The King's Academy.

Each high school student is also expected to attend seven classes. However, it is recognized that some students may find it difficult carrying a full class load and may pick up a study hall in place of one class.

The King’s Academy is a school that values the parents’ primary role in educating their children and will work with parents when necessary in deciding their student’s schedule.

The state of Indiana requires a minimum of 40 credits to graduate from high school, but TKA expects each student to do more than meet the minimum requirements for graduation, and therefore requires each student to graduate with 48 credits.

A student who spends all four high school years and carries a full load at TKA would normally have 48 to 52 credits upon graduation. Credits can be earned only if a grade of “D-” or higher is earned.
