Mrs. Peterson graduated from Taylor University with a degree in Elementary Education and a certificate in middle school science. She taught overseas with her husband for two years before becoming a stay at home mom. She eventually went back to teaching part-time in 2020 at the King's Academy. After teaching two years she transitioned to the Guidance Counselor role. Mrs. Peterson has three sons that attend the King's Academy. Her hobbies include gardening, hiking, music, reading, and spending time with family.
